Member of Parliament Grant Funding

MPs are well-placed to identify and champion initiatives that respond directly to the concerns and needs of their constituents. This grant scheme enables them to lead and support community-based projects that improve safety, strengthen public trust, and contribute to long-term crime prevention. Each of Lancashire’s 16 MPs will have the opportunity to apply for funding to support community safety initiatives within their constituencies.

Opening Date: Monday 9th June 2025

Closing Date: This fund is open throughout the current financial year, and all funding must be allocated within this period.

Decision Provided: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by the Commissioner and a dedicated assessment panel.

Amount: up to £50,000

Available for: Lancashire MP’s

Fund Criteria

Key features of the funding include:

  • One-off: Funding is a single allocation – repeat or additional funding is not available.
  • Flexible: MPs may allocate the full amount to one initiative or divide it among up to five individual smaller initiatives.
  • Open-ended: There is no fixed deadline for applications – MPs may submit proposals as projects are ready to commence.
  • Collaborative: MPs are encouraged to work in partnership with local groups, statutory bodies, and residents. MPs submit applications on behalf of these collaborators.
