Joint Professional Standards Scrutiny Panel

The Joint Professional Standards Scrutiny Panel, formerly known as the Professional Standards Department Scrutiny Panel, is a sub-committee of the Joint Independent Ethics Committee (JIEC), established with the purpose of providing independent scrutiny and oversight of matters relating to professional standards.

We are currently moving to a new system to share our minutes and agendas for this meeting. Please click the button below to view meetings post June 2025.

The purpose of the Panel is to provide independent scrutiny and constructive feedback to Lancashire Constabulary and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) in relation to police complaints, misconduct matters, and police complaint reviews.

The Panel meets quarterly and Membership is currently made up of six JIEC Members:
