Representatives from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Lancashire Constabulary, Lancashire County Council, and other agencies shared strategies to disrupt the flow of criminal cash, using both civil and criminal powers to seize illicit assets and dismantle gang operations.

Attendees also reviewed recent enforcement successes, including the seizure of illegal cigarettes and vapes worth nearly £200,000, part of an ongoing clampdown on rogue businesses operating in the county and flouting the law.

Speaking afterwards, Commissioner Grunshaw said: “This event highlighted the power of collaboration in tackling criminal enterprises moving criminal cash and illegal trading. These activities not only endanger public safety but also undermine legitimate businesses across Lancashire.

“Together with our partners, we’re using every tool available, from trading standards to policing powers, to stop criminal gangs exploiting and profiting from our communities. I remain committed to holding the Chief Constable to account and ensuring we protect the vulnerable and strip offenders of their ill-gotten gains.”
