Prevention Partnership Panels are designed to tackle serious violence and ASB through prevention and multi-agency collaboration that identify children and young people who are vulnerable to being drawn into crime and ASB.

The panels will bring together professionals from various sectors such as police, education, health, and community organisations to assess the risks and needs of the child or young person and put tailored support packages in place to prevention escalation into serious crime, behaviour or harm.

Spot the signs

• Sudden changes in behaviour, language or mood. (e.g., becoming secretive, aggressive, or withdrawn)
• Frequent absences from school. (e.g., skipping classes or going missing)
• Unexplained gifts or possessions (e.g. new clothes, phones, cash)
• New or change in friendships
• Changes in appearance (dressing differently or signs of neglect)
• Frequent and unexplained trips. (e.g., traveling often without clear reasons or leaving suddenly)

Preston, Wyre & Burnley

Professionals can refer children / young people identified as being vulnerable to being drawn into crime and ASB into the panel.

Blackpool

Lancashire Constabulary officers can refer children identified as at risk into the panel.
